Data Science for a Better World

Anaconda

With more than 20 million users worldwide, Anaconda is the world’s most popular data science platform and the foundation of modern machine learning. The company pioneered the use of Python for data science, and in June 2020, The Bulleit Group and Anaconda worked together to announce the 2020 State of Data Science report.

The Challenge

Anaconda is the undisputed leader in the open source data science community, and part of Anaconda’s partnership with The Bulleit Group is to better position Anaconda as both a resource for enterprises and a voice for the practitioner community. Anaconda ensures corporations and other organizations can fully leverage open source data science with appropriate security, scale, and governance in place, and that the data scientists who work in enterprises have the tools and support they need to be effective. In today’s crowded media landscape, pitching proprietary data is an excellent way to rise above the noise, and the 2020 State of Data Science report is an excellent way to continue credentialing Anaconda in the eyes of an enterprise audience.

The Formula

The Bulleit Group used unique data points from the report to craft discrete narratives of interest to a broad swath of press—including top tier business and tech, data science, healthcare IT, and security reporters.  The Bulleit Group drafted two pieces of content—a press release and blog post—to underpin our media outreach efforts.

The Results

In just over a week after the 2020 State of Data Science report was released, it was covered fourteen times, including features and mentions in Axios, The Next Web, InfoWorld, TechRepublic, Datanami, and TechRepublic (again!). The data and resulting coverage demonstrates the breadth of Anaconda’s abilities—for security in open source, ethics in data management and artificial intelligence, challenges facing data scientists (and how to solve them), and more.
